From Diva to Dishrag. . .
First, my apologies, I really am alive and I do MEAN to blog, honest. The move took more out of me than I ever expected. But I’m back now and as soon as I recover from RT, by God I’m going to write and promote and blog regularly, darn it!
Now, to the fun part. . .
RT was wonderful, as always. And I’m exhausted, as always, hahahahaha. There was lots of laughter, tackle hugs, and of course, alcohol. I had a great time networking, meeting with my publishers, and hanging with my buds. Viewing the eye candy was just an added bonus. *snicker*
I had to come home early for a family function so I missed out on the book signing and the Mr. Romance contest. It wasn’t easy to leave when everyone else was having fun. And it REALLY wasn’t easy to leave knowing the fun would go on and on without me, waaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
It was awesome to be with other authors and readers and talk about books, books, and books. I love spending time with people who get me.
Then I come home. . .
I go from diva to dishrag in two seconds flat. As soon as I get home it’s back to laundry, dishes, and grocery shopping. My family loves me, but to them I’m mom, not Arianna Hart. They’re good about letting me go to conferences and covering for me while I’m gone, but they want me home doing my ”job” which is taking care of them.
Let the juggling begin!
My goal, once I recover from being away for a week, is to write/finish three short stories by the end of the summer. I’m giving myself until the end of summer because I’m trying to be realistic about my goals. Let’s see if it works!
Take care everyone and I’ll post again soon. Honest!
Ari
