All about Evie

Posted by Arianna Hart - May 28th, 2007

It’s almost 11 at night. I am not a night person. I like to be in bed by ten-ish because I have to get up early with the kids.

So, why do you ask am I still up when I’m so tired I can barely see straight?

It’s all Beth Ciotta’s fault. Her book ALL ABOUT EVIE had me hooked from the moment I opened page one. I bought the book because I love Beth to death. She’s a wonderfully sweet lady who has a kick-ass voice and probably the best personality of anyone I’ve ever met. Her funky sense of style and mega-watt smile brighten any room she walks into. Seriously, she could write a phone book and I’d buy it because I just love her.

That’s not why I couldn’t put down ALL ABOUT EVIE though. I have a lot of friends who write (duh) but that doesn’t mean I stay up past my bed time unable to put the book down. I got cranky with my family when they kept interrupting me and not letting me read this book. The main character, Evie, is quirky, spunky, and downright hysterical. I found myself laughing out loud at her I LOVE LUCYness. The hero, Arch, is sex personified.

I mean seriously HAWT! He’s the type of bad-boy you see drive by on the motorcycle and you find yourself drooling in the minivan. Yummier than a hot fudge sundae and probably just as bad for you. . .and twice as tempting.

The characters absolutely made this book, but the plot kept me enthralled 100%.

So, Miss Ciotta, I loved your book, but I’m not happy with you because I’m dog tired now and will be dragging ass tomorrow morning.

Congratulations, this book ROCKED!
