What to say?

Posted by Arianna Hart - June 16th, 2008

I feel the need to post something so people know why I fell off the face of the earth, but I don’t know where to start.

On Friday, my youngest daughter Shannon was diagnosed with leukemia. It came out of the blue and struck me right between the eyes like a freaking sledge hammer. Cancer doesn’t run in my family and except for a constant fever, she’s been very healthy.

She’s been such a trooper through all of chaos that has hit her in such a short time. I can’t even believe the strength in her little 6 year old body. I’m amazed at her ability to take a punch and keep going.

The next six months are going to be the worst, but after that, she’ll be okay and that’s what I’m clinging to. So if you don’t hear from me for a while, know that I’m not just being lazy like usual, I actually have a reason for not keeping up with my blog.

Any prayers would be appreciated!
